Such impatience! :) I use the GUI8BIT.SHK "Apple II Desktop" package
on my //c and //e both, and I don't seem to have any problem with it.
Admittedly, my //e has a ZipChip 8 and my //c has a ZipChip4. But even
before I got the accelerators, running at just a lowly 1MHz, the
interface was at least usable. Especially with a hard drive or 800K 3.5"
to work from.
