I know the answer to this one!  I don't know how long I struggled with
this clue and password, and now I don't remember how I finally got this
password.  It's 'cdefgab'.  In other words, it the C major scale without
the final C.

If this doesn't work, then my memory may be a little faulty.  I made
some notes while playing the game that I can try to find if necessary.
