You are correct.  The Apple HS card is much more flexible than
the RamFAST.  Its only weakness is that there is a dirth of drivers
and it is a bit slower.  Alltech Electronics (http://www.allelec.com/)
was selling the SCSI-2 CD-ROM driver from Sequential.  Eric should
give them a try.  The Apple driver still supports the CD300, an
SCSI-2 device, as a data drive, but it won't recognize audio CDs.
Sequential's driver does both.

The only reason the RamFAST directly supports more drives is that
the driver software was more recently updated and in ROM.
