Mac ZIP on pc's and vice versa ?!

who can tell me more about this ? I've got the windows program MacOpen, but
it can only handle short filenames (8 char + ext). is there a win95 ver ? 
how can i get my long filenames on a power pc:

index.html gets index htm on the mac (in the win95 environment not)
