REQ:Second Sight help

Recently, I posted an article requesting help to get the Second Sight
board and my IIGS to work together. This article has more details of the
problems.
 
The board and cable, and the VGA monitor work perfectly when installed in
another IIGS belonging to one of our Apple User Group members. However
with the ROM 01 and ROM 03 computers I have, the problem(s) with the
display are as follows:
 
1. When the IIGS boots to the Finder, the screen colours appear
pale/washed out;
 
2. alternate columns of colour are missing from the display;
 
3. the colour palette changes periodically;
 
4. moving the mouse causes ripples in the display.
 
However, selecting the Control Panel DA from Finder causes a perfect
display. In other words, when I have the Control Panel selected, there are
no problems at all.
 

Any suggestions for a solution would be appreciated (the Control Panel is 
kind of boring after awhile --hehehe).
