My IIe caught a thief!!

My so-called "junk" IIe just saved me about $500 in stereo equipment.

After having "moved up" into the IIgs world, I put my trusty old beige IIe
to work as a hobby project. I came across an old science lab thing (Light
Lab) that plugs into the Joystick port- and you can basically just plug
resistors into it. I rigged it to my not-so-trusty wooden apartment door
and to a electric motor which operated an air horn.
Wouldn't you know it- some fool tried to kick my door in last week (this
has happened twice before- that's what prompted me to do this) and the
silly air horn scared him off. Who needs ADT Security when you can use a
IIe, about 5K of BASIC programming, an air horn, and duct tape? :)
In the future I plan to have it use the modem to ring my pager, and rig
something that will fire bricks (i.e. "Home Alone 2") :)
Anyone else got any interesting Apple II used as food processor type ideas?
How about a IIc that makes coffee? :)
-Michael
