At Computist, we received editorial contributions from all over the
world, including, naturally, Japan. This is the first I've heard of the
J-PLUS Apple ][. Evidently, either not very many were made or the owners
considered them to be 'standard equipment' not requiring any special
mention. My guess is that, today, a working J-PLUS is a fairly rare
machine.
