Renegade was nothing like Task Force, it was closer to Double Dragon
(which by no coincidence was also written by Taito). That was definitely
completed and floating around out there, but 9 years later I've still not
been able to track it down. A shame too, since it was apparently as good
a port as Rastan. Another Taito arcade title not released was Puzznic,
and rumour had it there were unfinished versions of Bubble Bobble and
Operation Wolf for the IIgs as well.

I could list pages of IIgs game titles finished (or very near so)
that were never released. Some of the biggest disappointments I can
remember included: Deluxe Music Construction Set, Fairy Tale Adventury,
Sword of Sodan, Heatwave, Double Dragon II, Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp,
Hardball II, Flintstones, Times of Lore, It Came From the Desert, S.D.I.,
Blue Angels, Vindicators, TimeLord, Ultima VI, etc. As well as about a
half-dozen game ports from Bill Heineman.

Pretty depressing actually, and there seems to be little or no hope
for ever getting these titles released, or in many cases even found in
any form (Renegade GS might be doable, if someone out there knows where
to contact Ryan Ridges or John Lude).
