    ABC Direct was made up of mostly ex-Applied Engineering staff
and engineerings, they also seemed to have carried with them the
rights for several AE products and some old stock. I was initially
interested since they claimed to be working on a SuperDrive clone
card and an 8 MB board for the IIgs, but that never happened.

or you can try (214) 306-5494 or by fax at (214) 307-0375. Their
e-mail addresses were: abcdirect@aol.com and 76744,777 on CIS.

    Nope, ask 800 directory information (1-800-555-1212) if they have
a listing for them. They are (or were) located in Dallas, Texas if
that helps.

    That is David Hardaway actually, the former president and head 
of the Apple II division at Applied Engineering. 

    I've no idea what they're up to these days, or if they're even
still in business. The last contact I had with them was when they
confirmed the ALI 3.5 Disk Controller (FDHD card) had been cancelled.
They sent me a catalog about 2 years ago; quite a bit of Apple II
software and hardware, but I'd be surprised if they're still 
selling or stocking it.
