The GNO/ME browser (when it is released) will use a TCP/IP link, so
it will work with the same account you use Explorer or Netscape on.

As for speed, that depends on how fast a GS you have. On my 13.75MHz
GS, most applications run faster than their counterparts on a 25MHz
'486 PC w/Windows '95, so to me Spectrum's browser would be pretty fast.
However, if you are going to compare a Pentium 166...

It is important to realize that if your GS is reasonably fast, then
the limiting factor will be the modem. That 33.6 modem will serve
you well and give your the Spectrum browser's maximum speed, but if
you feed it a slowpoke 2400 modem, then the browser can't reach its
maximum speed.

Honestly, it all depends on what you are going to do. If you use the
web mainly to get information, then the GS will do fine. If your
favorite web browser is Lynx or you like to set Netscape or Explorer
to _not_ autoload graphics for speed, then the GS will also do fine.
However, if your main purpose in surfing the web is to look at pictures,
then you will be better off with a new Mac or PC.

For looking up journal articles for research, the GS will be fine.
