Broken keyboards ..

i was just wondering if anyone has ever had any luck glueing keys back
in place. i've acquired a couple of II+'s, and both of them have had
keys snapped off.. but curiously, not lost. i've tried the krazy-glues
and PVC cement, to no avail. it's kind of frustrating to have the
original key-caps in hand, and not be able to do something about the
situation. maybe it's hopeless, and i should just keep the machines for
parts?
