My C-Vue originally belonged to the owner of an authorized Apple
dealer center, he had it connected up to an Apple IIc Plus and apparently
used it frequently at work (neat, since most dealers don't even know
what the Apple II is anymore, let alone use them). A few years ago he
moved to Macintosh, and so sold it to my friend, who happened to work
at one of the stores he owned. My friend hadn't used Apple II's in
years, but bought it anyhow as he used to be a big fan back in the 80's
and ran an Apple BBS for a number of years (as well as helped run the
well known Castle GS BBS).

When I found out, I immediately asked if he'd be interested in
selling it to me, but he refused. Anyhow, last summer he finally
called me up and asked if I wanted the C-Vue and the IIc Plus, which
I of course said 'yes' to and bought it! :) The plastic casing on the
C-Vue was discolored and the ribbon cable was missing (making it
unusable) but considering how rare they are, I wasn't picky. Just
recently I had someone solder a new DB15 connector to the C-Vue
and got it working. It was just pure luck getting one, I doubt I
would have ever had the oppurtunity to find one otherwise (sure
sometimes a C-Vue will appear on csa2.marketplace, but good luck
with the bidding war ;)
