You're now talking about MacWorks? I guess you know when you say that
Max XL is the same as Lisa 2. However, I got the picture that Mac XL is
especially that one with the different pixel format... I mean, when
Apple Ic. decided to draw the Lisa away from the markets they converted
for no charge Lisa 2 computers to Mac XLs.
The early Lisas had floppys instead of 3.5"s?
Anyway. What I'm after is that internal HD... Do you - or anyone else -
know where I might grab a working one. And how should I format it?
And then, if I manage some day to get my Lisa's HD to work, I would be
interested if there is available any other programs than OS 7/7. I have
heard some rumours of that Pascal compiler...
Yes, I am interested about Lisa-articles and all other Lisa-stories,
too.
Here is one: I personally remember when I visited an exhibition some
years ago when the Lisa was something new. The 1MB ram was incredible,
same thing with the 32-bit processor! Who would need such a powerfull
stuff! The mouse was also something new... And the price was incredible,
too. Here in Finland the Lisa's price was about $16000!
Now (a couple of years ago) when I got some spare Lisa's I called to
Apple Computer Inc. and asked if they happen to have some Lisa-stuff
around, they answered me "...Lisa? Are you sure it's an Apple product?"
