Can someone quickly tell me which recent (or semi-recent) Quantum
hardrives are incompatible with the RamFAST SCSI interface? It looks
as though I'm going to have to send my Quantum Lightning 730 SCSI in
under warranty (I think the motor spindal is dying, it's become quite
noisy while spinning these last few months) and it is quite possible
Quantum may send a different model back.
I recall the Quantum Fireball 1.2 was not compatible, what were
the others? I just want to make sure my drive is _not_ replaced with
something that the GS won't be able to deal with. I'll probably have
to ship it off this week, so a quick response would be nice. :)
(should be fun getting my data off the drive, guess my only option
is to create ~32 MB *.SHK archives of each partition, and then
null-modem it over to my PC hardrive for temporary storage until
the new drive arrives. That of course means I'll have to use HFS
and Spectrum :/).
