Illustrated Zip GS and TWGS upgrade "how to" stacks!

New Product Announcement:

I've decided to do my part to bring new software to the GS.
Coming soon to an ftp site near you, I am in the process of putting
together some new HyperCard IIGS stacks.

The Illustrated Guide to Upgrading the Zip GS

Here is a step by step do-it-yourself guide to upgrading
the Zip GS accelerator board for GS users. This stack is
illustrated with a graphic of the Zip board so that you will know
precisely where to install each new component. I have always felt
that the current web based documents on how to do this are lacking
in that some users may not know where the individual components
are on the Zip. Others may be wary of soldering their board.
This stack will graphically show you how to upgrade your board and
explore ways to upgrade _without_ the use of a soldering iron.

Soon after the release of this stack, it will be followed by its
sister stack:

The Illustrated Guide to Upgrading the Transwarp GS

This is a step by step, graphically illustrated, guide to
upgrading the Transwarp GS accelerator. In this stack, you will
find precisely where to install each new component thanks to
detailed graphics illustrating the process. We will explore why
the special high speed GALs are no longer needed to upgrade this
fine board and the origin of the contention that greater than
version 1.5 ROMs were needed will be explained and why it is not
needed in most upgrade situations (1.5 ROMs will give an error
in some tests, but this can be safely ignored).

Both the Zip GS guide and the Transwarp GS guide will have a section
explaining the intricacies of caching accelerators, how they work,
and the techniques these amazing boards use to get around speed
bottlenecks, such as the video hardware.
