I'm not at my IIgs so I can't tell you if the M0130 drive is the
Apple 3.5 drive which is compatible with the IIgs. But, you may
have to go into the control panel and change your boot slot to
either 'scan' (computer scans from the highest slot, 7, to the
lowest, 1 for a boot disk) or to 'slot 5' which is the slot
designation for the 3.5" drive port.
To get to the control panel, while powering on your GS, hold down
the option key on the keyboard. You will see a text menu. Select
item number 1 (control panels). Scroll to the slots item, hit
return. Now, scroll down to the boot slot item and use the left
and right arrow keys to toggle through the possible slot selections
to choose your boot slot ( set it to scan -- this is the
easiest and most flexible for your situation). Find your way out
of the control panel menu and your computer will now continue
to boot by scanning for a boot disk.
