It seems you all did not get what I wanted to point out:
The HFS FST grabs disk space DURING the writing of a file. The
file name entry is done IN THE END. And if the machine is
interupted BEFORE the file entry has been written, all that
is done is that the DISK CAPACITY HAS BEEN REDUCED. This can
NOT be undone with PROSEL, because PROSEL does not support
the HFS.
Hope that this clears up things a bit (it seems that my English
is not well enough yet).
