Got a Disk II? Get a Bugg-Drive!
I recently had one of my Disk II drives converted to a BUGG-Drive by Dr.
Steven Buggie (buggie@unm.edu). I was skeptical of the value at first, but
now that I realize I will never have to search late at night for a
hole-puncher to
notch a floppy anymore, I see the value of this device. For the
uninitiated, a Bugg-drive is a Disk II modified with a speeed-control
switch, and a 3 position switch for the write-protect setting (normal,
always protect, unprotect). The modifications are very cleen, and you'll
probably wonder why Apple never included them. I do not work for Mr.
Buggie, but highly recommend his modifications to anyone with a Disk II.
IIfinitum,
Michael
