I ran the latest DOS version of Quicken (Version 7 for DOS) on it just
fine.  Norton Utilities even correctly identifies the CPU as a V30.  :)

Not true.  The PCT software comes on a 800K disk.  I used my SCSI 
Floptical drive as a standard 1.44M drive to read/write MS-DOS disks, and
had a hard drive partition set up for its use.  It is true that you need
the TransDrive (or a BlueDisk) to use the 5.25" size disks though.
