Welcome back to the Apple II world. I'd like to suggest a good 
source for information and software for your IIGS: EGO Systems.
Up until about 2 years ago they published GS+ magazine and disk. 
They still have many backissues for sale at about $10 for disk plus 
mag. You may be able to find backissues for sale by individuals in 
the newsgroups at lower prices, but i would still suggest that you
contact EGO for a few disks. You can find them at:

I would especially recommend the issue/disk from
January-February 1994 (V5.N3) that contains EGOed v2.0.
EGOed is an NDA word processor that is almost as full 
featured as any full blown apps for the IIGS! Ver 2.0 
will read and write RTF files,as well as many GS only
formats.
