I think you are WAY reading into things here.  Nobody's posts on this group
have ever said or inferred that Apple Computer did all things right and
correct from day one.  That being said, no company or corporation I know of
does everything correct and right in their lifespan either.

What I and others were saying in the very beginning of this thread and
other threads is that many in this group are dumping unnecessary
present-day blame on a company that basically decided to discontinue a
certain line of products some time ago.  If you do it to Apple Computer,
then you have to (fairly) do it to car companies, other electronic
companies, and everyone else who ever phased out/discontinued a certain
product line, that's all.  Apple Computer has not done *everything* wrong,
nor have all the decisions they have made been wrong.  Have *some* of them
been wrong?  Surely.  But I don't think the company deserves to be bad
mouthed forever because of those decisions.  It's time to move on.
