APPLE IIGS COMPUTERS RUN MACINTOSH SOFTWARE!

Basel/Zug, Switzerland -- 4/1/97 -- F.E.Systems announced today that beta 1 of
the first Macintosh emulation software for Apple IIgs computers was sent to
selected beta testers today. "Mags ][" will bring Apple IIgs enthusiasts the
latest technologies and software products, such as high-end rendering programs
and natural painting software.

F.E.Systems introduced December 96 "Bernie ][ The Rescue", the first Apple IIgs
emulation software for Macintosh computers. Using modern approaches such as
reverse engineering and program inversion, the staff at F.E.Systems built a
fully functional Mac emulator in just a few weeks. 65816 emulation was replaced
with 68050 emulation (a 65816 pin-compatible variant of the 68040, originally
developed for next-generation gameboys). "By applying modern software
engineering technologies, we turned our Apple IIgs emulation software into a
Mac emulator. We all were surprised how well we got along, and our clientele
who is using both platforms will be pleased to know that returning to the Apple
IIgs does not impose any limitations anymore", said Andre Horstmann, project
manager of Bernie ][ The Rescue and Mags ][.

Serveral hardware limitations had to be overcome first, though. F.E.Systems has
teamed up with Shareware Solutions II and acquired the construction plans of
the TurboRez board. The TurboRez will be sold separately by Joe Kohn. It is not
mandatory but will be required for 72 dpi display.

As F.E.Systems is expanding its business and growing in size and market
dominance, Dr. Gudat announced at the same time that F.E.Systems had bought the
ftp archive ("ground") and will gradually convert all software titles to disk
images for direct use with Bernie ][ The Rescue and Mags ][. This disk image
format is proprietary and not compatible with current conversion and
decompression utilities.

Since 1988, F.E.Systems (formerly Dark Software) has introduced numerous
software products for Apple IIgs computers. Software from F.E.Systems is said
to be very fast, clean, tight, colorful, cool, and totally hip.
