How about the terms "horse" and "unicorn"?  Yes, a unicorn is more
valuable/prized, but, unlike the horse, it doesn't exist.  The horse
may be slow, but it accomplishes a heckuva lot more work than a whole
team of unicorns.  The main difference between the two is that you
know the limitations of the horse, but since a unicorn doesn't exist,
you don't know the limitations of it.  Understand the metaphor?
