i currently run a major bbs w/ apple //gs doors...one of which is
running metal/fv 4.0xev on 1 gs machine and the other is runnig tpro RPG
4.2f (modified) bbs software on the other...it was a guick and dirty way
for me to go multinode..yet keep my apple //gs software up...old thou it
may be...

anyway....

we have telnet capablity via lost-gonzo.com to get on to my wg/mbbs
system and from main menu i have serial/modem connections to the apple
gs's running the old gs bbs pkgs...

so as far as SIS goes...i assume...if i added a telnet command in the
approprate way...with a serial connection to a gs with the sis
software...i could run sorta a mini www site using the gs as a server?

and speaking of which ..can this server support proterm..if that was in
the hmtl commands?...

just curious about what options i'd have with my setup...if i wanted to
experiment with this...

last point anyone out there that has converted to ms dos based bbs's
etc....there are bbs door/shareware pkgs that allow you to dial out via
serial connection/modem to your old gs's running your old tpro, fnet,
proline, gbbs or whatever...so if you want to put those pkgs up on your
current setup....it an't that hard....and it gets the gs out of the
closet...

whatever...thanks any feedback is welcome and
you can post a msg here or at my site

lost gonzo bbs
inet email:
sysop@lost-gonzo.com
gonzo@ic.mankato.mn.us

telnet: lost-gonzo.com
www test site *ugly yet* (no www in front yet test site but works)
at: lost-gonzo.com/weblines

you CAN get via telnet from the telnet way or web site to the bbs.but we
are only a 2 line system and 2 telnet channels....so if we are full
up..that is why...if nothing else it is interesting connecting to old gs
bbs software via telnet...

whatever thanks for the info on sis etc via my situation
