Re: Help for a Dead IIGS
Just what the doctor ordered: My 150 watt BUGG-POWER power supply!
84 units shipped since April 1996, including five units sold at
KANSASFEST '96.
150 watt IIGS power supply (IBM-style; external unit on 5 ft cable.
The cable enters the back panel of the IIgs to be plugged into the
motherboard power connector.)
Price: $27 plus $5 shipping UPS.
(Shipping higher to Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, or elsewhere)
ADVANTAGES:
Cool running; these units have built-in fan
Eliminates all power supply heat from the CPU cabinet
Bigger power capacity to run all IIgs accessories effortlessly, even on
24 hour continuous operation
Remove your internal power supply ---- save it for when you need portability.
Big space is freed up inside the IIgs CPU cabinet for your GADGETS like
internal hard drive, etc. etc.
A molex-4 connector is left on the unit, giving 12 volts or 5 volts.
You can connect accessories to that molex-4 to run car stereo, pencil
sharpener, cassette player, etc. (I have a cassette player and
pencil sharpener now connected, and they DO NOT INTERFERE with computer
being run at same time.)
IIe/II+ version available at same price; all same advantages stated above.
Y-connector version with both IIe/IIgs plugs --- add $4.00
