Lost Classics - TimeOut Central

Fellas,

Sean announced on his site, <http://www.a2central.com> that the entire
Resource Central / Open Apple catalog had been released to the Lost Classics
project, including the 'TimeOut Central' series.

That's fantastic news.

Anyway, last year (for Will Nelken, former editor of the diskzine TimeOut
Central) I imaged all 26 (or 27) issues of TimeOut Central, both as
individual 800K ProDos images and as one large 31 Meg ProDos image
containing all the issues in individual subfolders (1 folder per issue).

For the 'image' impaired, I also have them all as merely uncompressed files
within folders. These work great for use with programs like DejaIIx on the
Mac, which can directly read AppleWorks files without using images.

Most of the files, remember, will be in AWP, ADB, or ASP format, so you'll
eventually need something capable of reading AppleWorks files in order to
view/use them.

I had hoped Will would do something with them, along with the (2) books of
his I converted to .pdf, but I guess now, at least as it concerns TimeOut
Central, it's a moot point.

If the work hasn't already been done, I be happy to forward these on to the
person (Tony?) who will be responsible for placing them on the Lost Classics
site.

Just contact me with email and/or upload info.

And guys, please don't ask me to send any of this stuff directly to anyone
other than the Lost Classics boys. Wouldn't be prudent ... <g>

Off Topic alert:

The kfest mailing list alerted me to an newspaper article on Apple's 'lost'
3rd co-founder that left me shaking my head.

If you haven't seen it, here's the link:

We all know that this guy made his own bed, but geez, I've got to nominate
him for the 'Hard Luck Hall of Fall'. Being in business all my life, and
having chalked up some poor business decisions myself, I empathize with him.
Big time.
