RANA Multidrive Card

I just got back from a trip to the local thrift store and I now
am the proud owner of a Rana System Elite Controller.

My question is:  What is a Rana System Elite Controller????

My guess: A card that lets you put 4 drives in one slot....

What apple will this work in?  (I only have a ][+) 

Do I need special software?  Drives?

I'm going to try it in my ][+ after I post this, but I only have
one drive (and another on the way).
