It sounds more like you've got a corrupted version of Basic.System
on your hard drive.  Try recopying it over to the hard drive.  Also,
you may want to invest in the newer version of the RamFast ROMs.
They're not TOO expensive, and you'll get rid of any other bugs the
older ROMs may be causing.
