I have two Apple II+ clones.
One has a label on it that says Micro 48 Model II. The guy I got it
from also added an extended keyboard to it that had most, if not all,
the BASIC keywords on the keys that could be accessed with a function
key and another key. Kind of like control key and apple key
combinations.
The other is made by a company called Mimic and it was an add on for
the Commodore 64. It turns out that it is actually a stand alone 64K
II+ with 8 slots. You can plug a standard II+ keyboard into it and
use it by itself or you can plug a Commodore 64 into it and use it as
an enhanced keyboard similar to the one I described above.
Slot 0 in the Mimic holds a card with the 6502, memory and keyboard
and game connectors. From the look of it, it held an entire Apple II+
on a full size Apple II card. I always wanted to find the pinout for
that card to see if I was right because I have one Mimic box but two
CPU cards.
Add these to my real II+ motherboard, //e, and IIgs and I've got a
fair collection going.
