Re: How should I use my 5.25" in GS?

Please read section 2.1 of the comp.sys.apple2 Frequently Asked
Questions at http://www.visi.com/~nathan/a2/faq/csa2.html It covers
slot assignments and notes the fact that for most i/o intensive
devices, you can only use either the builtin port or the card. This
is very much true for 5.25" disks. If you want to use 5.25" drives
off both the builtin port and a slot-based card, you'll have to move
the card to another slot and set it to 'your card'.

If you have properly installed GS/OS 6.0.1 from the install disks,
then the 5.25" driver should detect and allow you to use any connected
drives. Check to make sure that the driver is not inactivated from the
Finder (do a 'Get Info' on it)-- some of us [like myself] who hate the
5.25" drives under GS/OS have deactivated the drivers on the install
disks so that they're installed as deactivated. (As unpacked from
Apple's ftp site, the drivers should be activated)

I've said this before... your system appears to have major
problems. GS/OS's drivers work on normal systems.
