The EX also had a 1 Meg ramboard ready to populate with 32 ram chips -
I know this because I used to move chips from my RamFactor to a Laser
128 EX all the time. What a tedious chore THAT was - I can't beleve
that, 9 years later, all 32 of those manhandled chips are still
running fine. Of course, what cost me $300 in chips back then are
worth about $6 now, I think...

You could also wedge a NoSlotClock under the 188 EX's ROM chip and it
worked fine, though it was so tall that you couldn't replace the chip
cover, and the ROM protruded from the bottom of the case. It never
failed to work for me, but it always made me worry.
