Make sure the people making these statements have the authority 
to do so (on their end).

flock to comp.sys.apple2 and post notices without prompting via 
a lot of bothersome, expensive long-distance phone calls. Each 
such posting-- from SSI, Interplay, Broderbund, ...-- could list 
the .SHK file name of the reclassified ware and its ftp site 
location. A nice touch would be to include a fax number for 
obtaining signed verification plus an apology for taking so long 
'get with the program'.
