Connecting my Apple IIe to my PC

        I am interested in connecting my Apple IIe to my pc using a
serial connection.  I have in my apple a plain serial card (NOT a Super
Serial).  It has a 26pin connector on it.  My pc has a standard 9pin
plug.  Are there special cables to connect these two or do I have to
weld a new cable.  Also, after I have a cable to I just call over with
my Apple and how? With a program such as Agate or Zlink or Kermit or
some other flavor?
