I can't answer your question but it prompted me to go grab the top of
my stack of Call A.P.P.L.E's - June 1980. I love the ads for hardware:

16k RAMs - $65
Disk ][ with controller - $545.00
Epson TX-80 with graphics - $795.00

OTOH software is comparatively cheap. I don't see anything priced at
more than $100 and most of it is $20-$40
