One vital question that needs to be answered first:

Are you able to print to the ImageWriter from other IIgs desktop
programs (using the Page Setup and Print commands in the file menu)?

When using the "Print Card" command, HyperCard uses exactly the same
mechanism as other applications to print.  Any problems would have to be
due to something like lack of memory.

Other print mechanisms provided by HyperCard may work somewhat
differently.
