Actually, some software licenses are written to cover this situation. It
depends
on whose software you have. This same situation comes up for folks who
have
laptops they take out of town on business...obviously, when you're 200
miles
away from home/work on a trip, you aren't using the software in both
places.
As far as I'm concerned, if you have a choice about which software to use
(and
not everyone does at work) then you ought to chose it based in part on the
licensing terms. If a company is going to be so untrusting of its
customers
that it won't allow for the situation quoted above, I certainly don't want
to
deal with them.
I have done exactly this with software that I've bought and want to use at
work
as well as at home, and vice-versa (for times when I've worked at home).
