I now have my AppleTalk network up and running with various old Macs
running ethernet and my IIe and IIgs connected via LocalTalk with the
LT Bridge software running on a PM5500 with OS9 and personal
filesharing acting as the server. All works great with built-in LT on
the IIgs and a Workstation card in the IIe.
Now I want to get the IIe and IIgs on IP as well as AppleTalk. I have
read a few 8+ year old posts talking about using IPNetRouter to run
MacIP over LT. It looks like it is possible for the IIgs but I have
not been able to find out if it is possible with the IIe and
workstation card. I do have an uthernet card but never got it to work
reliably and I want to stick to all Apple gear if possible. I have a
feeling that the LT Bridge running on the same machine might be a bit
of an issue also.
Any suggestions here or more modern advise?
