   Really, now. No other computer had SCSI or a CDROM whatsoever
before Apple boldly paved the way into the far-reaching unknown and
brought enlightenment to the downtrodden huddled masses of the world.
<Cough, gag, spit... can't keep the sarcasm up for that long> SCSI,
CD-ROMs, GUIs, etc all existed a long time before Macs got their hands
on them. To go out and claim that Macs are the reason for their
existence is a load of hype and propaganda at best.

   Macs weren't first with color displays or to be an almost
unexpandable box with only 128K, but the Macheads try and write that
off as "we grew out of that." Admit that you've had a bunch of
unfortunate design mistakes if you're going to try and hype your own
features by putting down other computer's problems.

   Nah, it never ceases me to amaze me how far up their posterior
certain Mac dorks have their heads. To them, brown matter, gray
matter, it's all the same--- gotta be too much time in front of those
9" monochrome monitors.

   Other computers had some of the Mac's advancements before Macs.
PCs *AND* Macs are just as "guilty" of jumping on the the bandwagon of
good user improvements.

   Too bad Apple's software development teams haven't been able to
keep up with the real world-- 4+ years to try and develop a new OS,
and they fall flat on their face and have to buy out a previous
competitor.  [Microsloth and Stacker, anyone? :] Claim all you want
that Win95 = Mac87, but you're also trying to hide the unfortunate
truth that Mac96=Mac84 behind some guide of "we were here
first.. weren't we wonderful, and we never have to change from our
awesome position"

   You can't blame TEMMD (The Evil Microsloth Marketing Dept (tm)) for
Apple's inability to produce a decent, stable core OS, or any
meaningful changes to their core other than a few cute but useless in
the real world enhancements like Quicktime. Let's make sure that all
our word processing documents are filled with nice pretty pictures
while the computer an errant app crashes the whole system. You do
that-- I prefer a stable computer capable of doing real work.

   Excuse me while I go watch a Quicktime encoded _True Lies_ on my
27" TV in THX... NOT! When you get to the point where you can tell the
difference between computer and a vcr/LD player, maybe you'll realize
what belongs where. Stability belongs on both, and should come first,
not 15 years late.
