Hi everyone,
Now that old DeskJets can be had relatively cheaply, I'd like to use
one with AppleWorks. I have version 3.0.
The csa2 FAQ says:
>For AppleWorks fans, there is the program called SuperPatch. Among
>it's patches is a cool DeskJet 500 printer driver. You can print
>sideways, and change fonts with normal AppleWorks commands.
Looking around on the umich apple2 archive, I found "patch30.bsq" that
says it's a "Freeware patcher for AppleWorks 3.0. Fixes bugs only.",
and "lastpatch.bsq", which says it's for AW4.01. Neither of these
seems to do what I want.
I believe SuperPatch is by John Link, and the Feb. 11 '96 "II
Something" (http://people.delphi.com:80/chstiles/19960211.html) says:
>John Link, at one time a prolific Apple II programmer,
>has placed his Apple II software in the public domain. It is available on
>BoardWorks BBS, 313-421-9144,
What is the version of SuperPatch I need to use the DeskJet with AW
3.0? Is it available on an ftp site?
If not, can anyone tell me the filename and location on BoardWorks?
Can I download it on my first call? Or would someone be able to
e-mail it to me?
Thanks for reading through this. I have always been grateful for the
courteous help I've gotten from people on this newsgroup.
Mike
