Well, we can not take Bill's post as a troll by reading the whole post,
which says that "some (others) think..." that the Apple II isn't the guts
(of Apple's web site) it's the waste.
Really, who could doubt that Apple Inc. doesn't think that the Apple II is
all that important? Just because we do doesn't mean it does.
While I certainly think that Apple could be more responsive to its Apple
II customers, I too am encouraged to see more references to the Apple II
lately on their Web site than was true previously. Considering that some
of the best supporters of the Apple II inside Apple Inc. are also on the
OS team, and thus must be very busy, it is surprising we get any notice at
all.
I think Bill Carver has generally been well regarded in the Apple II
community, and wasn't trying to say he felt Apple IIs were a waste. Not as
I read it anyway.
