Re: Ma Bell

You both are a little wrong. There has been compiition in one way or
another for 12 years since the breakup of the Bell System and deregulation
in the Long Distance and equipment end. Also many large companies have
been going around the local network for years. By next yor you will
be able to get you local telephone service from anyone, even down
at your local Jack-in-the-box. By the way if you look close you really
have not saved any monies, if you look you are paying more and in many
cases havingto take care of at least 2 and 3 different bill for your
services each month. Just look at what deregulation has done to the
trucking, airline and railroads. Gas, electric are going that way to.
What will happen is large customers will save money because the new
companies will take the cream and leave the little guy to the local
companies. Anything the government gets into is messed up, just look
at Medicare, Social Security and the IRS.
