Corvus Systems hard disk drive

This is a repost of a question to comp.sys.apple2.usergroups.

I wonder if someone can help me.  I have an Apple IIe and a friend has 
just given me a Corvus Systems hard disk drive (with interface cable and 
card).  Unfortunately, there are no manuals that explain how it works.  
And my friend has never used it.  He got it from a friend of his a few 
years.  This person presumably explained how it worked originally, but 
my friend has since lost contact with her.

I'd like to try connecting it to my Apple IIe.  So if anyone has any 
pointers, I would be very grateful.  I'm assuming it's still in working 
order, it powers up OK.  If anyone happens to know of any info on the 
internet about Corvus drives, that would be good.
