king of chicago...

i know this is going to be misconstrued as flamebait but:

i have king of chicago for my gs, and in the course of trying to convert it
to a disk image for use on the XGS emulator i discovered my original disks
were junked in a number of places- it's happening to a growing number of my
disks these days =(...  however, i had backup copies of the 2 disks, and i
tested them out, and it seemed like they were ok...  however, about 5-10
minutes into the game, it just locked up...  my memory was sufficiently
jogged, and i remembered this was the copy protection, so i guess i just
sector copied the disks without nibble copying track $20 as i should
have...

my clumsily shrouded question is this: does anybody known of a working
deprotect/HD install for this game?  i remember there used to be a utility
specifically for KOC that would do this for you, because it was such a
bizarre copy protection (the whole 5-10 minutes then crash thing)...

if it just said "insert original disk," i'd probably be ok, but because it
just dies after you start the game, i'm pretty much out of luck, unless
someone can assist me on this one...  and no, copy ii plus doesn't have one
for KOC...  =)
