Bruce, I did almost the same thing in January 1995 with the Apple Blossom.
I began it as a free newsletter, aimed at schools (I was mailing it _free_
to over 120 schools), and eventually put up a Web page with the full
contents. I also put it up on AOL and Genie in text, GraphicWriter and
eventually Postscript formats.

I eventually had to charge, as I added several other subscribers and it
was costing me well over $100.00 per issue. When I did offer it for
subscription (at the price of $12.00 for 6 issues) I got exactly _1_ (0NE)
subscription from the 120 schools I was mailing it to for free. And that
was two years ago, when there were a higher percentage of Apple II's in
the schools.

So while I applaud your effort to make Apple II info available, keep in
mind that the interest isn't all that widespread.

I have continued with Apple Blossom, and it now is entering its third
year. Shareware Solutions II is still going strong, and the AppleWorks
Gazette and Juiced.GS are also growing and prospering. But except for
SSII, most of us have a couple of hundred subscribers (many subscribing to
all or several of the publications). If you know of some school folks who
could use Apple II info, rather than start up a whole new publication, why
not write for one or more of the existing ones, and let the school know
about them...or even buy the school a subscription to one of the existing
ones? It would be cheaper for your, and might accomplish just as much.
