     Yes; Bard's Tale III, "Thief of Fate", was released by Electronic
Arts in a version for 64k Apple II. Most likely, it is a fine game;
however, by the late '80's, GS users had come to appreciate the benefits
of super-sound and super-res graphics. The for-GS versions of Bard's Tale
I and II significantly squelched interest in anything less than a for-GS
Bard's Tale III.

     Naturally, GS users do not want to spoil the next Bard's Tale/gs by
playing through the A2 64k version. (For sure, they do not want to mess
with the PC release; it's so buggy as to be unplayable.)  A Bard's Tale
III/gs is said to be 'in the works'. It should be quite a treat!
