Actually, the UDC's in the 128's were slightly different - and the ROM that
supported it was much faster (try copying the same amount to both a UDC
connected 3.5 and a 128 connected 3.5 and you'll see what I mean). You
know,
I still have the source for the firmware of the UDC somewhere...
In the Laser 128E's, the UDC was partially redesigned - and them and the
later
128EX's and all the EX2's could also use the Apple 3.5" drives.
