After much experimentation and gnashing of teeth, I have come to the
conclusion that the Sirius (AllTech) card is NOT "8MB DMA compatible
using the Apple HS SCSI card", despite what AllTech says (which is a
shame really, since this was the main reason I bought it). My system
will not run stably at all (with or without the ORCA shell) unless I
turn DMA off on the SCSI card.
