Apple mystery monitor ?

I have an Apple monitor, model# A9M0308. 

I can't find out anything about it. The cable port is the 15-pin type, but
the IIe has a bayonet-type jack connector.Apple's website list of monitors
does include this model. #^$!!#??

I tried hooking this monitor up to my Quadra 660AV and to a PM 6100.
Nothing but tan screen, sometimes with broken white lines in the uper
one-third of the screen.

THis monitor is part of a collection of three apple II,IIe systems that
were donated to a low-income building. I'm trying to set up a computer
system for the people who live here to use.

Am I missing just  the right cable or adapter? Or is is something maybe
more serious like a missing video card?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
