My point isn't about getting rich (although it would be nice) but about
paying gas and lodging...

Perhaps these companies hat to find another field _to survive_ in the
market. It should be clear to everyone that a company _has_ to be
profitable.

Sure if you can afford it. My point is that people have every right to get
_some_ compensation. You can't expect them to work for free. For some it
might be enough to get lotsa kudos, others may just need the money they can
earn.
