IIC SELF-TEST: Does it test the IWM drive-controller?

I bought several IIC's at a school auction.  One of them passes the 
internal self-test with SYSTEM OK, but the drives spin and swap but dont 
load.

Does anyone know whether the SELF-TEST actually tests the Integrated Woz 
Machine (IWM) chip that controls the disk drives????

NOTE: I have been locked out of e-mail for the past 3-4 weeks because the 
college's e-mail connection shuts down for the Christmas break.   Its not 
really open again til Jan 21, but I snuck into the computer room with an 
orientation group.
